Bulgarian REIT to Spend EUR 50 mln for Office and Retail Center

May 11, 2010, 14:40, (Property Xpress) - A Bulgarian real estate investment trust (REIT) will invest about EUR 50 mln to develop an office and retail center on a 0.9 ha lot in Sofia, said Boris Borisov, Executive Director of Sopharma Buildings REIT, a subsidiary of pharmaceutical giant Sopharma. The center will include two towers of 82 and 72 m and have a total area of 51,000 sq. m. The offices will occupy 23,500 sq. m, while 11,000 sq. m will be allocated for retail premises.
According to Borisov, the first tenants will enter their offices in May 2011. The complex will also have parking for 440 cars and feature an 8,000 sq. m garden.
