Eleven companies submitted bids to build a 2.14-kilometre section of the Sofia beltway, and nine more are seeking to supervise the construction process. Germany's Hochtief, Austria's Alpine and Bulgaria's Glavbolgarstroy submitted individual offers to develop the road between Simeonovsko Shose boulevard and Mladost 4 neighbourhood. The latter company was awarded the contract to build the section linking Bulgaria and Simeonovsko Shose boulevards.

A number of consortia will also participate at the tender. Almost all of the candidates pledged to complete the project within two years. They offer a three-year warranty for the road and a 5.8-year warranty for the equipment.

The indicative contract value is put at BGN 56 million, VAT excluded. However, Road Infrastructure Agency expects the contract price would be reduced by approximately 30-40% as has happened at the other tenders under the Regional Development operating programme.
