The drop in Bulgaria's construction output lost some momentum in February, slowing to 1.1 per cent month-on-month against 1.7 per cent a month earlier, seasonally-adjusted preliminary data of the National Statistics Institute showed.

Building construction went down by 0.4 per cent on the month, while engineering construction output decreased by 1.6 per cent.

In annual terms, the construction sector saw a 13.6 per cent drop in production in February, which was triggered by a 19 per cent slump in engineering construction and a 9.5 per cent decline in residential construction.
